Cleveland Instruments and Art Supplies Drive
Many people are hesitant to donate items that have been near and dear to them because they want to be sure that they are going to someone who will really use them. Here is an opportunity to donate art supplies that will go directly to students who will use them to foster creativity.
The following is from Regina Brett's column in today's Cleveland Plain Dealer:
You can give your art supplies and instruments new life by dropping them off on Saturday, Sunday and Monday at Joseph-Beth Booksellers at Legacy Village, 24519 Cedar Road in Lyndhurst. The Cleveland Instruments and Art Supplies Drive will find them all good homes.
The store is open 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday.
The collection is sponsored by Cleveland Neighborhood Arts. The group of urban arts educators includes Art House, Arts Collinwood, Broadway School of Music, The Chrysanti School of Music, Foluke Cultural Arts Center, Joyful Noise Music School, Karamu House, Passport Project and Rainey Institute. The agencies offer free or inexpensive music, dance or art lessons.
So, spend some time this weekend organizing your closet and donating something that will certainly be used.
